Glacier Tour

Whether hiker or mountaineer, a glacier tour is a special experience for everyone. At the Hintertux Glacier you climb safely secured by the mountain guides rope. Equipped with crampons you venture over glacial bridges and crevasses. If you are feeling brave we can also abseil you into a crevasse!

Climbing Route
A mountain guide, steel ropes, iron steps and the specialised equipment from mountain sports give you the necessary safety for the start on the vertical granite wall. It is an almost intoxicating feeling to climb completely exposed on the rock face.

Mountaineering
This tour takes you to the most striking peak of the glacier region - the Olperer. Meeting point for this tour is the bottom station of the Hintertux cable car. We travel to section 3 followed by the ascent over the Tuxer Glacier to the start of the north ridge (approx. 1 hour). At difficulty level 3 we climb the ridge to the peak of the Olperer at 3.476m.
