FAQs

What exactly is a via ferrata?
A via ferrata is a climbing route that employs steel cables, rungs or ladders, fixed to the rock to which the climbers affix a harness, which allows the climbers to secure themselves to the metal fixture and limit any fall. The cable and other fixtures, such as iron rungs (stemples), pegs, carved steps, and ladders and bridges, provide both footings and handholds.

Do you have to be able to climb?
No. A healthy physical condition and good surefootedness are sufficient.

Minimum number of participants
We run our tours with a minimum of 4 participants. (Exceptions see tour description) If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we will arrange a new date with you.

Personal requirements
A healthy physical condition and good surefootedness are sufficient. Age limits are stated on all tours. Our events are only suitable for people with limited mobility to a limited extent or - depending on the degree of personal restriction – perhaps not at all. Punctuality
Please be on time at our base camp. Especially in summer traffic jams occur in the Ziller Valley. Please understand that we cannot keep the other guests waiting and that the tours will start as booked. In case of foreseeable delay, please be sure to call - 0043-664 3120266
