The Lofoten
Guided Ski Touring in the Lofoten – Where Mountains Meet the Sea
The Lofoten are a winter paradise beyond the ordinary: dramatic peaks rising straight out of the ocean, untouched slopes, and an Arctic landscape of breathtaking beauty. On our guided ski tours in the Lofoten, we combine alpine adventure with Nordic wilderness – far from crowded ski resorts, deep in the high north of Norway.
Together with experienced mountain and ski guides, we explore the best lines the region has to offer – safely, mindfully, and always adapted to current conditions. Whether relaxed ski tours with sweeping sea views, demanding summit objectives, or your first steps into Arctic ski touring terrain, our trips deliver unforgettable descents, powerful nature experiences, and true adventure beneath the magical northern light.
Experience ski mountaineering where winter silence, ocean, and alpine challenges merge into a truly unique symbiosis – professionally guided, personally hosted, and driven by genuine passion for the mountains.

Program
Day 1 – Arrival & Transfer to Kabelvåg
Meeting point is Harstad/Narvik Airport Evenes (EVE).
After arrival, we pick up our rental cars and drive together to the Lofoten Islands. The journey to our accommodation in Kabelvåg takes approx. 2.5 hours, leading us across bridges and along spectacular coastal scenery straight into the heart of the Lofoten.
Along the way, there are plenty of opportunities for photo stops – first views of steep granite peaks, fjords, and the open Norwegian Sea. In the late afternoon, we arrive at our accommodation, check in, and have time to settle in, check equipment, and discuss the upcoming ski touring days together.
Days 2–7 – Ski Touring around Kabelvåg & Central Lofoten
The following days are dedicated to varied ski tours in the central Lofoten region. Each day’s tour is selected based on weather, snow conditions, and avalanche safety, ensuring safe and enjoyable ski days.

FAQs
Ski bag as additional luggage | sports luggage
You will need a ski bag for all ski touring trips. This is reserved in addition to the flight ticket. The surcharge varies from € 40 - € 70 per ski bag. We will discuss all these details with you in the packing list you will receive after booking.
Is insurance included in the trip?
Our tours do not include insurance cover as most guests already have private cover. Please also check prior to the tour if your insurance covers the booked trip. We will be happy to provide you with an insurance offer for the booked period.
Our recommendation - ski boots in the hand luggage?
In addition to your normal hand luggage, ski boots should be carried in your hand luggage. The reason is delayed luggage! You might be able to organise skis in your destination country, but boots that fit are practically impossible.
Ahead of each ski tour, we discuss all open questions and details of the planned tour individually.
