The Lyngen Islands
Ski & Sea at the Arctic Circle – Ski Touring Between National Park and Islands
The Lyngen Islands are among the most spectacular ski touring destinations in the world. North of the Arctic Circle, alpine peaks rise directly from fjords and the open sea – powerful, pristine, and defined by vast, untouched landscapes. Our ski touring base is deliberately located away from the well-known hotspots, set within the heart of Reisa National Park at the beautifully situated Reisa Lodge.
From here, a diverse ski touring area unfolds, offering enjoyable ascents, wide Nordic lines, and descents that reach almost down to sea level. The combination of alpine terrain, unspoiled nature, and the protected landscapes of the national park creates an intense wilderness experience – far removed from crowds and infrastructure.
