Day 1 – Arrival in Longyearbyen & Embarkation
Welcome to Svalbard! Upon arrival at Longyearbyen Airport, you’ll be met and transferred to the harbor.
Before embarkation, there’s time for a stroll through Longyearbyen, the vibrant “capital” of Svalbard. A visit to the Svalbard Church and the Svalbard Museum is well worth it, offering fascinating insights into the region’s mining heritage and polar history.
Embarkation takes place at 16:00, and in the evening we set sail northward, beginning our Arctic adventure.
Days 2–7 – Ski Touring in Northwest Svalbard
Over the next several days, our route will be determined by weather, wind, sea ice, swell, avalanche conditions, and possible polar bear sightings on land. Flexibility is an essential part of this expedition.
Each day, we’ll seek out the best possible ski touring areas and landing sites in the northwestern part of Svalbard, such as the Kongsfjorden, Isfjord, and Prins Karls Forland regions. Expect rewarding ascents, long powder descents, and breathtaking views of glaciers and fjords.
On the evening of Day 7, our vessel sets course back toward Longyearbyen.
Day 8 – Farewell, Svalbard
After breakfast, disembarkation will take place by 09:00 in the port of Longyearbyen.
Transfer to the airport and individual return journey – taking home unforgettable memories of your unique Ski & Sail adventure in the Arctic.
