Island Senja

Day 1 – Arrival & Transfer to Senja
Meeting point is Tromsø Airport.
After arrival, we pick up our rental cars and head north to the beautiful island of Senja. The drive takes approximately 3.5 hours and leads through breathtaking scenery typical of northern Norway. Along the way, we have plenty of opportunities for photo stops, enjoying impressive fjords, rugged mountains, and coastal views. In the late afternoon, we arrive at our accommodation on Senja, where there is time to relax after the journey and get ready for the adventures of the coming days.

Days 2–7 – Ski Touring on Senja
The following days are dedicated to varied ski tours, selected daily according to snow conditions, weather, and avalanche safety. This flexible approach ensures safe, enjoyable, and rewarding ski days.

• Skolpan – A versatile ski touring peak with a beautiful ascent and wide views over fjords and upland terrain.

• Litjemoa – A quiet summit away from the main routes, ideal for enjoyable tours in stable conditions.

• Kroklevtinden – An impressive mountain with an alpine feel and diverse descent options.

• Tverrfjellet – A well-accessible classic featuring a steady ascent and expansive panoramic views.

• Snaufjellet – Clear terrain and scenic surroundings, perfect as a shorter tour or in challenging weather.

• Luttinden – A distinctive peak offering rewarding ski lines and impressive fjord views.

• Store Hesten – An alpine ski touring mountain with steeper sections and a spectacular summit experience.

• Segla – An iconic summit with dramatic views over the sea and surrounding peaks, a true highlight of Senja.

• Keipen – A popular classic with long, flowing descents and excellent all‑round views.

• Kvænan – A varied summit with wide perspectives over fjords and islands, ideal for enjoyable ski touring.

• Flexible Rest Day (weather dependent) – If necessary, we plan a rest day or a relaxed group outing, for example around Senjahopen, depending on conditions and group preferences.

Day 8 – Departure
After breakfast, we transfer back to Tromsø Airport, followed by individual return journeys.

Changes to the itinerary may occur at any time due to the nature of our trips. Weather conditions, snowpack, and local circumstances may require adjustments to the program. Therefore, this itinerary serves as a guideline only and does not represent a fixed or guaranteed schedule.

Travel documents:
No visa is required for Norway. However, the passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the return date.

Climate
In the west and southwest there is a relatively mild, maritime climate with a lot of precipitation and ice-free coastal waters in winter. The mild coastal climate is separated from the continental climate in the east of the country by the Scandinavian mountains.

Early registration secures your place and makes the work of Mountain Sports much easier. Early registration is essential for offers with train or plane travel. Last-minute registrations may result in a surcharge.

Minimum participants
According to the travel program; Price, program, fuel price, flight changes and cancellation of the trip due to the absence of participants reserved. The general travel conditions /ARB 1992 apply). In particular, point 8.1. referred (price changes due to changes in transport costs, taxes, fees or exchange rates). In addition, the condition applies that if the minimum number of participants is not reached, the travel price can be increased by 10% up to 21 days before departure. Changes to the surcharges and fees / charges shown will be charged / refunded with the actual costs when the ticket is issued. Here, too, changes made in the last 20 days before the start of the trip are not taken into account.

Ski bag as additional luggage | sports luggage

You will need a ski bag for all ski touring trips. This is reserved in addition to the flight ticket. The surcharge varies from € 40 - € 70 per ski bag. We will discuss all these details with you in the packing list you will receive after booking.

Is insurance included in the trip?

Our tours do not include insurance cover as most guests already have private cover. Please also check prior to the tour if your insurance covers the booked trip. We will be happy to provide you with an insurance offer for the booked period.
