... Magnificent climbing tour, 2 days
Stüdlgrat (ridge) is unbelievably beautiful and one of the most beautiful climbs on the Großglockner. The path over the Stüdlgrat runs mostly along the sunny side and the amazing ridgeline leads directly up to the summit.
Meeting point 12:00 at Alpengasthaus Lucknerhaus 1918m, where the mountain guide will greet you and check the equipment, bevor he goes through the tour program with you. Then we will set off to the destination of the day through the Ködnitztal past the Luckner Hut at 2241m up to the Stüdl Hut at 2802m. Ascent 884 m, time on trail ca. 2 – 3 hrs.
We will start early in the morning heading over the Teischnitzkees glacier to the start of the ridge – 1,5 hrs. With climbing sections up to a difficulty level of 4 UIAA, the Stüdlgrat is a real alpine challenge. Climbing passages alternate with walking sections on the compact rock. On the upper part of the ridge, the level of climbing difficulty increases but also shows spectacular views. After reaching the summit, we will descend on the main route via the Adlersruhe to the Stüdl Hut. Ascent 996 m, descent 1880 m, time on trail ca. 8,5 hrs.
