. . . The Hochfeiler 3510m & Großer Möseler 3480m, 5 days
The Hochfeiler and the vast glacier fields of the Großer Möseler are awaiting us on the south side of the Zillertal Alps Nature Park. Delicious cooking and a glass of fine wine at the huts will round our week off nicely and bring this unforgettable experience to an end. The highlights of the tour are certainly climbing the two highest peaks in the Zillervalley Alps as well as the breathtaking panorama of the Schwarzenstein Hut.
Meeting point 9:00 at the Nature Park House in Ginzling. Your mountain guide will greet you and check the equipment before going through the tour program with you. From here we go on to the Schlegeis reservoir. The gently rising path from Schlegeis will take us via the Lofitzalpe to the Pfitscher Joch Haus 2277m, where we can have a little break and enjoy a cup of cappuccino. Ascent 480 m. We will now head downhill to the edge of the forest. Our hike to the Hochfeiler Hut 2710m starts at the bridge by the Oberbergbach (stream). Ascent 980 m, time on trail approx. 7 hrs.
Today we are already heading off to the highest mountain in the Ziller Valley Alps, the Hochfeiler at 3510m, ascent 800 m. Via the Gliderferner and Untere Weißzintscharte, we will come down to the Edelraut Hut at 2545m. Descent 970 m, time on trail approx. 5 hrs.
Today, we will follow the Nöfeser Höhenweg (alpine path). On the Mösele, we will leave this path and climb over scree and glacier fields to the Großer Möseler 3480m, ascent 935 m. Provided that we have good snow conditions, we can use the snowfields of the Nöfesferner as far as possible to descend to Nöfesjoch Hut at 2407m. Descent 1080 m, time on trail approx. 6 hrs.
The Stabeler Höhenweg (high alpine trail) winds its way lonely and wild through the cirques of the Southern Ziller Valley Alps, where we will cross three passes: the Gelänkscharte, Schwarzenbachtörl, and Zu Törla. Today’s destination is the Schwarzenstein Hut at 2923m. Ascent 1150 m, time on trail approx. 6 hrs.
Right behind the hut, we will climb over firn-covered fields to the Felsköpfl and then immerge into the vast glacier fields of the Schwarzensteinkees. Terrain with boulders will lead us to the summit 3368m, ascent 450 m. Past the Großer Mörchner, we will head down to the Berliner Hut at 2040m. After a well-deserved break and refreshments, we will follow the path to Breitlahner. Descent 1330 m
