Family Via Ferrata
Via Ferrata & High ropes course
This family friendly route is particularly suitable for children (anchoring adjusted to child height) and alternates between classic Ferrate terrain (rock faces and walking sections) and interesting high rope course elements. The high rope elements demand both courage and dexterity. They can, however, be avoided as the via Ferrate runs parallel to the walking trail to Gasthof Zimmereben.
Little hands and little feet - are what makes climbing via Ferrate so very challenging for many children. Their arms are normally not long enough to reach the rope and footholds are often too widely spaced. A pleasant afternoon climbing sometimes has the potential to turn into a nigh-on insurmountable challenge for families. No so here! There is a small practice area next to the via Ferrata access point, where young climbers can gain confidence and test their sure-footedness and the rules of climbing are explained in a series of child-friendly drawings.
